Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Emily: We wanted to start sharing Otis with the world because he literally cracks us up all day long, and we wanted to bring that joy to others.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Emily: If you watch some of our videos, you will see that he is the goofiest/sweetest boy. He is beyond entertaining and we cannot get enough of him.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Emily: I am inspired by others videos of their golden retrievers, and also Otis helps me because he is often doing something crazy that I feel like I should capture on video.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Emily: With consistently posting daily and viral reels, a minimal amount of negativity can sometimes occur on our posts. The only thing we can do is continue to post and bring smiles to people's faces. Reading the happy positive comments helps us ignore the other ones.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Emily: Just keep sharing and keep going! You never know when a reel will get picked up and go viral!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Emily: Otis has improved our lives in so many ways. He brings us so much joy every single day, and we are obsessed with our crazy boy. He gets us outside more, and we take him on adventures whenever we can. Otis is also extremely sweet and playful. We cannot get enough of him!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Emily: Since Otis is a puppy, we often have him try new dog-safe foods. When we recently had Otis try a cucumber slice and a piece of broccoli, he started doing this crazy dance move with his paws, and it just cracked us up. He also did this same move when we brought him to see snow for the first time.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Emily: Sharing the joy of Otis with others and making people smile. I also love creating memories with our puppy and capturing the memories with videos so we can look back on them.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Emily: We are going to keep doing what we've been doing! We do have some exciting stuff coming up, like a swim day with one of our influencer besties, and working with some of our favorite brands that we're super excited about.
