Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Yeong: It started off just for fun and ways to record memories with my first dog. It has now become a creative outlet for myself and ways to bond with Pumpkin.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Yeong: Real life, relatable dog content. Pumpkin is full of personality, energy and positivity. She puts a smile on everyone.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Yeong: I am always taking photos or recording videos of Pumpkin. I look back at them and ideas just come to me! I will pick relatable topics, things that I find interesting as a first time dog mom.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Yeong: Yes. I generally just ignore them.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Yeong: Only do it if you love it. :)
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Yeong: She has made me a better and more healthy person so many ways.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Yeong: We took Pumpkin to an Airbnb with private lake access so she can swim all day while we paddle board. Pumpkin always looks so happy and natural in the water, so I always thought it would be amazing to wild swim with her. Opportunity arises when I fell off my paddle board into freezing water. Here I was thinking Pumpkin would come save me, instead it felt like she was trying drown me.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Yeong: Getting positive comments especially from those who just lost their pets. My content made them laugh during the difficult grieving period.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Yeong: We continue to post fun, engaging and relatable content. Several brands/companies have reached out, but I only want to work with ones I truly believe in. Pumpkin's wellbeing comes first.
