Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Hritsko: I had so many photos and videos of him that it just felt natural :) There are not many toy breed dogs that are adventurous and like the outdoors so I thought that Sprout was unique in that way. He is a very unique breed with a unique personality that people respond to!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Hritsko: Sprout is a Brussels Griffon which is a very rare breed. He is a toy breed, he is about 7 lbs, and is very adventurous and loves the outdoors. Even being as small as he is, he loves to walk, go on hikes, and run on the beach. I think it is different than what people usually see because he is so small. They aren't used to seeing a teeny-tiny dog run and jump and play. Sprout has hiked 7 miles easily!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Hritsko: I do not have a specific creative process and it shows. I just post based on the cute photos and videos that I get of him that day/week!
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Hritsko: I have been so lucky in that we haven't experienced any negativity! That's what I LOVE about dog social media :)
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Hritsko: I would tell them to be authentic. I don't pose Sprout ever. I just video and take his photos like normally so our posts aren't ever fake or forced.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Hritsko: My dog is the most important thing in my husband and I's life. He teaches me patience and doesn't let me be lazy. That boy gets 2-3 walks minimum a day no matter how busy we are. He makes average days good and good days amazing. He is the bright spot in our day and the unconditional love that we need.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Hritsko: One time in Santa Barbara, we were playing with him and another small dog on the beach. He was so excited and revved up that when a jogger ran by, he followed him for about half a mile before turning around and sprinting back! I really thought we lost him for a minute there LOL
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Hritsko: My favorite thing about being a dog influencer is when Sprout gets recognized out and about! He had one really viral tik tok and a lady recognized us at a bar. It just goes to show you how small the world really is and how social media can bring people together.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Hritsko: World domination and a Rawz dog food campaign!
