Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Attong: I didn’t think I would ever be considered a dog influencer when I started my account. My goal was to document my journey with my dogs and connect with other dog owners. I’ve met so many people and dogs through social media so I’m very thankful to be a part of this community.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Attong: I wouldn’t say anything sets them apart but they are very well trained and I enjoy learning new skills with them. I believe that’s why our followers enjoy watching because they can be inspired and motivated by our training journey.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Attong: I try to stay authentic and share my genuine experience in my posts of my daily life with the dogs. I enjoy filming my training session and adventures and turn them into content.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Attong: Sometimes I can be too open because I enjoy sharing my life as a dog mom on social media. It can be somewhat therapeutic. On the other hand, it opens the door for judgment, negative and hateful comments. People only see a glimpse of our life on social media and often forget we are real people too with feelings. I try to block out the negativity on my page but sometimes it does get to me when I see people questioning some of the decisions I’ve made. I love my dogs and will always do what’s best for them and my family, aside from social media.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Attong: Be authentic, be kind and have fun! It’s easy to get wrapped up in social media but it’s meant to be light-hearted and to spread joy to other dog lovers.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Attong: I’ve met so many amazing dog owners in real life because of social media! It has also led to my passion for dog training. I don’t see myself as a dog trainer, but I’ve mentored as a junior trainer for over 2 years now. I just enjoy learning, spending time with my dogs and building a stronger relationship with them.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Attong: I did a professional commercial shoot with Kya a few months ago. We were booked for an hour session. We finished in record time and basically were in and out of the studio immediately. Kya knows so many tricks, any and every command the photographer gave her she did without hesitation. After a few minutes, they sent us on our way because Kya gave them everything they wanted. I was super proud of her and all the training we have done.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Attong: I think just being able to connect with other dog owners and potentially inspire them on their training journey with their dogs.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Attong: Currently, we are working on Niffler’s training so we are showing a lot of his training journey towards dog sports. Otherwise no crazy projects or plans, just enjoying spending my time with them!
