Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Castillo: I love taking photos and being creative. I was posting so many cute photos of Hendrix on my own social media, I decided to make him his own! I discovered a whole dog community and have even made friends with other dog parents!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Castillo: Hendrix is really sweet, goofy and such a character.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Castillo: I get inspiration from music, movies, and just recording Hendrix being himself.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Castillo: I'm lucky to say I haven't faced any negativity on social media. I think if I did, I would just block and ignore it. It costs nothing to be kind to everyone.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Castillo: Do it! Don't let fear hold you back. You never know what opportunities may present themselves.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Castillo: My dog influences my life every day. He is so sweet and loved by strangers, he pushes me to socialize in situations I wouldn't normally. He made me more social and outgoing.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Castillo: Photographing my dog making food recipes is always so funny! He will devour anything in front of him as soon as we're done recording.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Castillo: My favorite thing is getting to work with brands I love! So many brands I love to use every day, it's so special getting to work with them!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Castillo: I would love to grow our account and be able to do this full-time! That's a big goal this year.
