Fi: Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Franklin's Human: We had wanted a corgi for as long as we can remember. COVID presented the perfect opportunity to get a dog, given that we were working from home for the first time in our lives. We were certain we'd create a Corgi Instagram profile as soon as we selected Franklin from his litter. What we didn't know at the time yet though was that we'd also be running the Corgis of NYC IG profile, and setting up monthly corgi meetups in New York City.
Fi: What do you think sets your dog apart from others on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Franklin's Human: Franklin has the absolute biggest personality and is one of the cutest fluffy corgis we've ever seen. He is always smiling and happy and the absolute biggest goober you'll ever find.
Fi: How do you develop ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Franklin's Human: It really ranges, but for the most part it's just posting content surrounding activities we've done with him recently (like going to a sheep herding class this coming weekend), or posting throwback pics of when he was a little nugget. We want to spread some joy on the internet, so if a picture of Franklin can light up someones day, that's such a big accomplishment.
Fi: Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Franklin's Human: We've been told we put him in a compromising position holding him under his front arms once, and took it with a grain of salt since no one can tell us how to hold our dog properly. Overall though, social media has predominantly been a positive place for us to highlight corgi content.
Fi: What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Franklin's Human: Don't try to hard or try to follow any social media hacks/posting requirements, share what you want and make sure you're always having fun with it. It's a hobby, it shouldn't be taken too seriously.
Fi: Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Franklin's Human: Sharing his smiles and love with others!
Fi: Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Franklin's Human: We hope to work with some brands and NYC Corgi Meetup friends to organize an East Coast Corgi beach day in the fall!
Fi: How have you used the info from step, sleep or strain tracking for your dog?
Franklin's Human: We like tracking his steps to ensure he's keeping up daily and staying healthy! I love to laugh and see his sleep during the work week to keep up with his whereabouts.. what I'd give for a dog's life.
We hope you haven’t had to use the lost dog mode, but if you have, what happened and how did Fi help?
N/A, but we did get the tracking collar after he ran away on the beach once (to ensure it never happens again). Those herding instincts kicked into high gear while chasing seagulls.
