Welcome to the ultimate destination for dog enthusiasts and social media mavens alike. At Dogfluencers, we're passionate about showcasing the best and brightest in the world of four-legged fame.
Whether you're looking for adorable photos, heartwarming stories, or expert tips on how to turn your own pup into a social media star, we've got you covered.
Today we got the honor of interviewing George (Oakley and Kelby's human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Fi: Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: As a water rescue dog team, we found that there wasn’t any content like ours from here in the USA.
Fi: What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: Not only are they professional working dogs, they do a very rare job!
Fi: How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: I like to show both the working side of them as well as there “fun everyday dog” adventures.
Fi: Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: Of course we do. Our dogs jump out of helicopters, lol, you learn to educate people on the dog's training and natural abilities. However, we do not interact with anyone who is abusive or vulgar with us.
Fi: What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: Remember that you’re opening yourself up to the world. Have thick skin and be aware that not everyone will think what you do with your dog is cute or appropriate.
Fi: How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: My dog has completely changed our lifestyle. We are now trained first responders to work with our dog.
Fi: What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: Passing on the lessons we have learned in our training over the years and being able to share our adventures with other like minded dog owners.
Fi: Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Oakley, Kelby's Human: Well our Kelby is 16 weeks old so there will be a lot of early learning and training content posted. We started our accounts when Oakley was about a year old so most of our followers never got to enjoy the early training we did.
We hope that George's story has inspired you to appreciate your furry friend's unique personality and share it with the world! Being a dog influencer is a fun and rewarding experience, but it's important to prioritize our dogs' health and wellbeing as well.
Remember always to create positive, wholesome content that showcases your dog's individuality. And in the face of negativity, it's important to stand up for fellow dog lovers and keep the community positive.
