Dehydrated Sweet Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Wash sweet potatoes and pat dry (don't peel them).
  2. Cut into slices approx. 1/8th to 1/4 of an inch thick
  3. Arrange on dehydrator trays
  4. Dehydrate at between 120F and 130F for 8 to 12 hours (time needed depends on how thick your sweet potato slices are)

Dehydrated Chicken Jerky

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from raw chicken breast
  2. Wash and pat dry
  3. Slice meat, making each slice approx. 1/8" to 1/4" thick
  4. Arrange slices on dehydrator trays
  5. Dehydrate at between 155F and 160F (68-70C) for 8 - 12 hours
  6. Bake in regular oven for further 10 mins at min. temp of 175F

Dehydrated Apple Treats

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and core apples
  2. Slice apples thin and even, about 1/4″ with a mandolin or knife
  3. Lay sliced rings on dehydrator trays, leave a small amount of space around each slice to allow air to circulate
  4. Sprinkle apple slices with a very light dusting of cinnamon
  5. Dehydrate at 135°F (57°C) for 6 to 8 hours, check at the 6 hour mark and continue to dry depending on the desired texture and if they will get eaten fast or stored
  6. Check for, both inside and outside of rings, ideal slices will feel dry and leathery without being sticky
  7. Tear an apple slice in half to check for moisture on the inside, it should resemble a dry sponge-like texture
  8. Once done, cool for several hours and store in an airtight bag or container – make sure they are completely cool so as not to create any moisture
  9. Give one to your pup, and to yourself and then store the rest in a dry, cool, dark place for up to a month

Dehydrated Green Beans

Instructions

  1. Set dehydrator to 170 degrees
  2. Evenly spread green beans on dehydrator trays, allow space between for air to pass through while drying
  3. Dehydrate beans for 8 hours or until all beans are crunchy
  4. Remove from dehydrator and allow to cool completely before storing in a glass airtight container
  5. Place in a dark, cool location and they will keep for up to 2 months
