Today we got the honor of interviewing Eric (Drako's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Davis: It kind of just happened thanks to Drako's larger-than-life personality. He's this big, goofy, and chill dog who always attracts attention and compliments whenever we're out and about. People are always struck by his size.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Davis: What sets Drako apart on social media is definitely his size and his brindle color coat.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Davis: My creative process for Drako's posts and content is pretty simple—I just like to showcase him as he is on a regular basis and share the things he loves to do. Whether it's capturing his goofy antics, his chill moments, his protective instincts, or his daily adventures, I just show his true self. Sometimes inspiration strikes when we're out exploring new places, and other times it's during our time at home.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Davis: I simply ignore and do not engage with the negativity and focus on the positive interactions and the community of supporters who genuinely appreciate what we do.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Davis: I would simply say to just go for it and don’t give up. And also to ignore the negativity.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Davis: It motivated me to snap more photos and videos. Usually, I'm all about just living in the moment and not constantly reaching for my camera.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Davis: I remember this one time I wanted to record him playing fetch, but by then, we'd already been at it for a while. So, I threw the ball, but he just glanced at it and flopped down, as if he was saying, "I'm good, thanks!"

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Davis: Connecting with other dog lovers in the community

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Davis: I am planning something, but I'm keeping it under wraps for now to avoid jinxing it.
