Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Omalley: I have been a UGC and TikTok creator for a little over a year, mainly in the beauty industry, although I had other interests like the outdoors, the highlands of Scotland and all the history and beautiful locations Scotland has to offer, I never felt my small platform was the correct place to share. I decided when I picked up Haggis just under 5 weeks ago, I would create a page, following his journey and following our travels around Scotland. I want people to see all the beautiful places we visit, stay & eat, almost like a tour guide. I have created a little character and people seem to be enjoying him so far.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Omalley: I definitely think it’s the fact he’s a Scottish highlander, his whole page will be about him and his travels around Scotland. He wears a little tartan jumper, and he’s super adorable.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Omalley: We have only just started on TikTok, however I do have some content pullers I like to focus on. Travels around Scotland Puppy adventures Places to eat in Scotland Cute puppy content Funny skits I usually plan a place to visit at the start of the week, and try to keep within the pillars. Just now I’m really playing around to see what people respond to, and take it from there.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Omalley: Not with Haggis-Blues page, however if I did I would simply ignore or block the user if it was offensive. I’m ok with everyone having different opinions, but not ok with anyone being nasty. I would never respond, just block and move on.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Omalley: You can do anything if you put your mind to it. I only started a few weeks ago and already have good growth, engagement and people reaching out for Collabs. I’ve had people make light-hearted fun of me for giving my dog a little voice etc, but I honestly don’t care, I genuinely love it, I hang out with him every day and I want people to enjoy him like I do. Be consistent, be creative and keep posting, everyone loves dogs right?

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Omalley: I have had dogs my whole life and I sadly lost my French bulldog a year ago. I genuinely didn’t realize how empty my life felt without a furry friend, until I picked up Haggis Blue. I I was like he filled a hole in my heart. He motivates me, inspires me and genuinely makes my life better.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Omalley: A week after his last jab, I took him to one of my favorite places, Arverikie estate, it’s where the shot monarch of the glen, the crown and James Bond. It’s the perfect Scottish backdrop, I let him off his lead for the first time, and he ran around on the sand by the loch, with the mountains in the background. He had the zoomies for the, in the most Scottish location, and I will just always remember that day. I love Scotland and I love haggis blue.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Omalley: I love spending time with him, playing with him, planning our trips, and filming his little life. It definitely helps to nurture our bond. I always have a little friend to go on road trips or to hang out with. Everyone deserves to enjoy haggis and his little Scottish character, and I really enjoy creating content.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Omalley: We have a whole list of Scottish locations to visit, so hopefully people will enjoy his tours, we also hope to find some staycations and pet-friendly places to eat. Maybe some places might invite little haggis to visit them 😄
