Today we got the honor of interviewing Rachel (Duke and Duchess' Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Fi: Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Duke and Duchess' Human: My journey to becoming a dog influencer started with Duke and Duchess, my two furry companions and partners in crime. As I watched them run and play, I knew there had to be a way to capture their joy and energy on camera. So, with a camera in hand and my dogs by my side, we set off on an adventure to share their unique personalities with the world.
Our videos are not just about showcasing the bond between my dogs but also about bringing a smile to the faces of those who watch. We believe that laughter is the best medicine, so we focus on the good stuff and leave controversy at the door. Our aim is to entertain, uplift, and spread joy to all who follow us.
To keep our dogs mentally and physically fit, we use our videos as a way to challenge them with multiple commands and create unique content. With each new challenge, Duke and Duchess grow more focused and engaged while also having fun and enjoying the journey.
As we began to gain a following, we realized that our platform was not just about sharing our adventures but also about connecting with others who share our passion for dogs. We are inspired to spread more joy and comedy to our followers while also showcasing the incredible bond that can exist between humans and their pets. We feel grateful for the opportunity to share our journey with others and look forward to the adventures ahead.
Fi: What do you think sets your dog apart from others on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Duke and Duchess' Human: What sets our dogs apart from the rest on social media is their unique personalities and their chemistry. Duke, our six-year-old German Shepherd, is a loyal and dependable companion who always has our back. On the other hand, Duchess, our eight-month-old Belgian Malinois, is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm who keeps us on our toes. Together, they are the perfect duo; their bond is evident in every video we share.
The comedy we produce with our two breeds makes them particularly interesting to our followers. Duchess's youthful energy and Malinois craziness blend perfectly with Duke's calm and collected nature, creating an entertaining and heartwarming dynamic. Whether we're filming them running through the fields or teaching them new tricks, our followers can't get enough of their unique personalities and their undeniable connection.
Fi: How do you develop ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Duke and Duchess' Human: When it comes to creating content, we draw inspiration from our daily experiences and the unique personalities of the Duke and Duchess. We're always on the lookout for new adventures and challenges that we can share with our followers, and we strive to showcase our dogs in a way that is both relatable and entertaining.
As for our creative process, we believe that collaboration is key. We work closely with our dogs, trying out different ideas and seeing what works best for them. Sometimes, we'll experiment with voiceovers from hilarious comedians like Jason Banks, adding a touch of humor and personality to our videos. Other times, we'll incorporate trending sounds to keep our content fresh and relevant.
Our goal is to create content that showcases our dogs and resonates with our followers. We believe that the key to success in the dog influencer world is staying true to yourself and your furry companions while also being open to new ideas and collaborations. With Duke and Duchess by our side, we're excited to see what adventures and challenges await us, and we look forward to sharing them with our followers.
Fi: Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Duke and Duchess' Human: We count ourselves lucky that we have not experienced significant challenges or negativity on social media. While we understand that not everyone will agree with our content or appreciate our humor, we strive to keep things light and positive. We believe social media is a place to connect, share our experiences, and spread joy and laughter.
Fi: What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Duke and Duchess' Human: If you're thinking about starting your dog influencer account or sharing your furry friend on social media, my advice is to go for it! Social media is an incredible tool for connecting with other dog lovers, sharing your experiences, and spreading joy and laughter.
That being said, staying true to yourself and your dog is essential. Focus on creating content that showcases your unique personalities and experiences. Don't try to be something you're not or copy others' content. Instead, draw inspiration from your daily life and your furry companion's unique quirks and personalities.
Additionally, remember that consistency is key. Make a schedule for posting content, and stick to it as much as possible. This will help you build a loyal following and keep your audience engaged.
Finally, don't hesitate to collaborate with other dog influencers or brands. This can be a great way to grow your audience and expand your reach. However, make sure that any collaborations align with your values and your dog's needs.
In short, be authentic, consistent, and open to collaborations. With these principles in mind, you'll be well on your way to building a successful dog influencer account and sharing your furry friend's adventures with the world.
Fi: What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Duke and Duchess' Human: My favorite thing about being a dog influencer is the incredible community that we've built. It's amazing to see how many people share our love for dogs and their joy in our lives.
Through our social media accounts, we've been able to connect with so many fellow dog lovers from all over the world. We've received countless messages from people telling us how much our videos and posts have brightened their day or helped them through a tough time. Knowing that we're positively impacting people's lives is truly a humbling and rewarding feeling.
But it's not just the human followers that make being a dog influencer so special. Our furry companions are also a big part of why we love what we do. Watching Duke and Duchess explore new places and experience new things brings us so much joy, and being able to share those moments with others is an added bonus.
Overall, the sense of community and the ability to spread joy and positivity through our shared love for dogs is what makes being a dog influencer so rewarding and fulfilling.
Fi: Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Duke and Duchess' Human: I'm thrilled to say we have some exciting plans. We always brainstorm new ideas and concepts to keep things fresh and exciting for our followers. We're focused on honing our skills and working on some new tricks to make our videos even more entertaining and hilarious. After all, our ultimate goal is to make people laugh and brighten their day through the antics of our furry friends. So, stay tuned for more adventures and laughs to come!
We hope that Rachel's story has inspired you to appreciate your furry friend's unique personality and share it with the world! Being a dog influencer is a fun and rewarding experience, but it's important to prioritize our dogs' health and wellbeing as well.
Remember always to create positive, wholesome content that showcases your dog's individuality. And in the face of negativity, it's important to stand up for fellow dog lovers and keep the community positive.
