Today we got the honor of interviewing Taylor (Zara's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Brown: I personally loved seeing other people share their lifestyle with their dogs, learning new things, and fun content involving pups. Content creation is newer to me but I have always enjoyed creating videos and editing so I thought, why not make some content while I am going through life with my pup. As soon as I got Zara, I was constantly taking pictures and videos. Then, I started making videos for TikTok and Instagram and we are slowly growing on the platforms.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Brown: She has unique and adorable features that are irresistible.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Brown: I will have ideas come to my mind all times of the day, there isn’t a specific process. Then, I will write the general idea down and begin to brainstorm different ways I can bring it to life in a fun way for Zara and I.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Brown: There has not been much negativity. We choose to ignore the negativity and focus on all of the positivity that we receive from our community!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Brown: Enjoy creating content and being with your pup! Don’t make it a job, make it a creative outlet and have fun! Do what makes you feel good.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Brown: Yes, she has taught me patience and also that we are all seeing the world for the first time together.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Brown: The first time we took Zara to the beach she thought a small tree in the water was a stick and tried her hardest to grab it and bring it up to us. It was hilarious!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Brown: Learning new things from the dog community and making friends!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Brown: We are focusing on growing our platforms and branching into new content styles while still having as much fun as possible!
