We updated how Fi counts steps. More precise tracking means a more accurate picture of your dog's activity.

Here's what's changing (don’t worry, it's a good thing):

A lower step count. This is expected. Nothing new to learn, no new screen. It’s the same number you already check every day; the only difference is it's just got more precise.

We get it — you've got a goal, maybe a streak going. Good news: the moment your dog's step count updates, their step goal updates right along with it. Hitting your goal, keeping that streak — all of it stays exactly as it was.

We get it — it's tempting to nudge the goal back up. If your dog's actual activity hasn't changed and you're happy with what they've been getting, leave it where it is. The number moved, not the effort behind it.

Why It Matters

Steps aren't just a number on a screen. They feed goals, rankings, and strain score. Sharper step counting means all of it gets sharper too: a truer picture of exertion, and a better sense of when your dog's earned some downtime.

This is one of the most requested improvements from Fi members, and we're glad to finally bring this to our Pack Members.
