A designer dog breed is when a breeder uses two purebred dogs, and intentionally mixes them together. This way you can have the best of both dogs, and you'll know what their family history is. And that they were bred by a safe, reputable breeder. But if you happen to find one of these lovable pups at an animal shelter, adoption is a great way to go! What is a Vizsla?
The Vizsla is a hunting dog from the sporting group. The American Kennel Club describes their personality as: “Affectionate. Energetic. Gentle." These beautiful dogs come in a reddish-brown, golden color that the AKC calls “golden rust,” with short hair, long legs, and floppy ears. They look like a typical hunting dog.
The Vizsla’s height can range from 21-24 inches. They usually weigh between 44 lbs. and 60 lbs. And their life expectancy is 12 to 14 years. These dogs rank a 5 out of 5 for being affectionate with their family and being good with children. They are also very good with other dogs, have a low drooling level, and have fur coats that are very easy to take care of.
Vizslas also rank a 5 out of 5 for adaptability level, trainability level, energy level, and mental stimulation needs. This means that the Vizsla needs lots and lots of outdoor run around and play time, lots of mental stimulation, and lots of attention. This is the perfect dog for someone who is extremely active outdoors and has a large fenced-in backyard where the Vizsla can run free frequently.
What is a Pit Bull?
