Today we got the honor of interviewing Felicia (Tucker and Pearl's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Eason: We started back in 2019 when we welcomed Tucker to the family. He is such a little funny character so I caught his moments through video and pictures and wanted to share them with friends and family. We began traveling and everyone fell in love with him. So after many back and forths we decided to get a second frenchie (Pearl). Since then I have enjoyed dressing them up and reviewing products sharing with our Instagram viewers.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Eason: This is a hard question. But I've been told they are just the cutest and so smart.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Eason: My ideas come from their daily life. If we travel, day trips, new toys, life happenings, new foods, cute outfits, holidays, and sometimes we may check and see what national day it is.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Eason: No negativity but sometimes life gets in the way and leaves a gap in interacting with our viewers. We are currently building a farm house and it has led to not being as active. I can't wait till our farm house is complete because we will have so much to talk about.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Eason: I would suggest to take it slow. Enjoy all the small things your pup does. Don't expect your account to grow thousands of followers overnight. But be active daily. Post stories, reels, and photos. Stay engaged with your viewers. All good things come in time.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Eason: Tucker and Pearl are like my children. I love them so much and enjoy the unconditional love and companionship they give. They make my days not so boring while the kids are at school, work, or with friends.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Eason: Haha.... Absolutely. We were at a campground called Anchor Down in Dandridge Tennessee. We took Tucker and Pearl to the dog park and were throwing the ball through one of the tunnels. I happened to be on the other side waiting for Tucker to run through. He ran through but midway through the tunnel he slid and caught himself. But it made for a really funny picture with his facial expression.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Eason: Meeting new people and animals. We have many new friends from our page. Not only dogs but we have cats, rabbits, hamsters, horses, and birds.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Eason: In the next couple of months we will begin our finishing touches on our new farm house. Lots of new updates and traveling coming up.
