Today we got the honor of interviewing Brittany (Toby, Theo & Trixie's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Stackhouse: When ever we are out places with our dogs we get so many people's reactions of having three dogs of all different sizes, it never fails to bring a laugh or smile to a stranger when they see us. I have always loved capturing moments to hold onto the memories forever so for us this was an easy way to not miss a moment!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Stackhouse: Having three dogs, of all different sizes, colors and personalities. Toby is a 6lbs pomchi who thinks he is king. Theo is a 90lbs adopted lab mix that is the happiest dog and loves everything. Trixie is a 45lbs adopted shepherd mix who is quirky, a little timid, loves to play and thinks she’s much smaller than she is. This dynamic is so much fun!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Stackhouse: Honestly, we do our best to not get too caught up in it. Which I think is the most difficult part. We love to be out exploring and traveling with our dogs and we try our best to capture the moments as they come and as they are rather than force out a planned schedule. This just works best for our dogs.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Stackhouse: Fortunately, we have not. The dog community has been so fun! We try very hard to just have a fun time with all the things that we do!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Stackhouse: Have fun with it! Make your memories, and enjoy it! It’s supposed to be fun for you and your dogs so don’t stress over it.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Stackhouse: In so many ways, we travel and camp a lot with our dogs so we have to be sure when planning that the things we do our dog friendly, the places we stay, and of course the products we find to make this easier on them and us! Most of our closest friends were made because of our dogs.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Stackhouse: Anything with whipped cream. Pup cups always end in a laugh, again having three different sizes makes this a very funny encounter especially if they are sharing it never fails someone ends up with it on their head from someone else’s mess!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Stackhouse: Having dogs. We feel lucky we have three incredible dogs that love to travel and explore as we do, and it’s a bonus that we get to share these experiences.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Stackhouse: We have a very large road trip across the country planned that is going to be the longest they have traveled for, with so many places to see, so we are very excited for this upcoming adventure!
