Fi Collar

So, what happened?! How did Atlas go missing and what did you do?

Atlas had knocked down his baby gate and went out the front door of the residence while I was taking a nap. When I woke up, I found the gate down, and he was not on the front porch of my residence. I immediately got my cell phone and went to the Fi app and turned on the lost dog mode feature. The app immediately began pinging his location and sending me texts to my phone with the addresses of where he was at the time.

I went to the last pinged address and followed the indicator on the map to where it was showing he was at. I followed the ping about 1/4 of a mile into the woods, and his icon was showing he was by a running creek. I called his name as I was walking, and when I got to where his icon was on the map, I checked it again and it was showing I was right at the icon. I turned around, and Atlas was standing two feet behind me. If it had not been for my Fi collar, I never would have found him. He was more than one mile from our residence, in the deep woods of Tennessee, and in a deep valley.

Atlas is a purebred Shiba Inu, rare in my area with prices being $2,000 and up. Someone could have easily picked him up. Atlas is more than just a pet and friend; he is also my medical service pup. I suffer from PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I rely heavily on Atlas to help me daily. He is trained to help me deal with stressful situations, locate and bring me certain medications when I need them, and alert others when I am in trouble. The thought of losing him raised my anxiety level, but thanks to my Fi collar, I was able to find him with no issues.

This is not my first story where the Fi collar has helped me. My first service dog, Amora, was a Siberian husky that was trained identical to Atlas, and she was equipped with a Fi collar as well. While walking her, I lost my grip on her leash, and she chased something into the woods behind my residence. With the Fi collar, I tracked her 1.5 miles into the woods and found her with no issues whatsoever! Amora has since passed away from natural causes, but she helped me through a lot of hard times in my life, and I would not have had her around to do that if I had not had the Fi collar on her when she got loose.

Now all my dogs have Fi collars on them. Atlas and his two husky sisters wear them along with their Fi Nano microchips. Fi is the only collar I trust for my pups, and I recommend it to others when I am asked about tracking collars.

Post-Escape: How did it happen?

Atlas knocked his baby gate down and was able to push the handle on the storm door open. As he is my service pup, when I found him in the dense woods of Tennessee I almost broke down in the woods to find him from anxiety, relief and love that I had been able to find him.

What else would you like to add about your experience?

Fi is the only tracking system I trust for my pups! Their collars and Nano chips are used with all three of my pups. The Fi customer service is phenomenal! I have yet to have a bad interaction with customer service.
